Dear Educators,

As Teachers, School Counselors, Coaches, Office Administrators, and the like, you play a crucial role in shaping the lives of our youth, equipping them with knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of the world. As you know, adolescent development is marked by uncertainty, tension, and adversity, leading to intense emotional stress – all while in the midst of coping with a series of complex developmental changes. Wow! Your jobs are not easy!

A myriad of psychosocial stressors weigh heavily on teenagers. We suspect you’ve been recipients of difficult teen angst. Nonetheless, by recognizing the unique challenges and typical stressors we found as adolescent researchers, you can provide the necessary support to help them navigate this critical phase of their lives.

As educators and clinicians ourselves,  we hope this Adolescent Stress & Wellness website will support you in fostering environments that encourage teen self-discovery, personal growth, and self-acceptance with your guidance and mentorship.

Let’s all work together as a community of educators to support our students on their journey to becoming resilient, confident, and fulfilled individuals.

Thank you for your dedication and commitment to our students’ well-being.
